The church of St Mary the Virgin, Hampton Poyle is a small 13th century church. It has some interesting monuments relating to the Poyle family and a beautiful mediaeval stone screen set into one wall. A Eucharistic service is held on the first and third Sundays of the month and on special occasions. On the second Sunday we have a less formal non-Eucharist time of worship.

In 2020 we are celebrating 800 year of worship in this building (and in our sister church of St Mary's Kidlington) with a series of community events throughout the year. For more information see the special website kidhp800.org.

The church is open during daylight hours, offering peace for anyone seeking time to reflect, pray or just sit.
